no joke. the name fits the restaurant. the habit was a great experience; the food, the menu, the staff, the location. great. i went with the double habit which is a very accommodating double burger. standard adds are lettuce, onion, tomato and mayo, which really accentuate the great flame grill of the burger itself. i couldn't have asked for a better flavored, juicy well cooked burger, anywhere. paired the sandwich with onion rings. as you can see in the pic they are the rough breaded rings which i usually veer away from preferring the beer batter variety. these were a great surprise. sightly over cooked, which is great, and perfectly portioned. this combo came in just under $9 with a drink and left me full for the remainder of the day.

suggest visiting a habit when in la, it will not disappoint. if you're in santa barbara you can visit the original location that was created 40 years ago. a california icon.
