a visit to one destination in the city i have not taken part in until today, the la county museum. its not the largest museum and doesn’t hold the most priceless artifacts, but the flow is very good from room to room with art collections throughout the buildings. the french masters room is really a sight with a number of monet and degas works. quite a few picasso pieces flow throughout the abstract area and the classic warhol campbells can lit the room in the modern area. the ahmanson building held the california spanish influence and teotihuacan relics.
a good visit for $20. exhibits change out multiple times per year.
an added bonus being the la brea tar pits are right next door. another great site in the middle of the city.
